VEHICLE WASHING

Environmental legislation, the increasing costs of source water and of discharging waste water and of sludge removal mean that more and more vehicle wash facilities are installing Hydrocyclone systems to treat the effluent water.

Smaller Hydrocyclones can be incorporated in many systems at car washing and truck washing services throughout Europe and the USA. Solids are removed as a thickened underflow slurry for easy disposal and the clean overflow is recycled, reducing the amount of clean water required.

DE-ICING

Hydrocyclones are in use in Germany in the winter separating fine stone particles from de-icing salt liquids. If the operator uses fine spray nozzles it can reduce the amount of de-icing salt required by 50%. The Hydrocyclones remove the fine stone particles so that blockage of the nozzles is avoided.
