Salter Cyclones Ltd specialises in the removal of fine solids with Hydrocyclones and Multi-Gravity Separators. Salter Cyclones has excellent test facilities and offers full performance verification services carried out under actual process conditions. Test equipment is also available for hire on a monthly basis.

Two 14 way 10 inch radials, one 5 way 10 inch radial and one 10 way 3 inch radial despatched to the Philippines for desliming duty are undergoing commissioning.

Salter Cyclones has recently commissioned an SCMG2 Multi-Gravity Separator in Turkey. This machine is in addition to one supplied in 2006 which has been successfully producing a saleable grade of chromite from tailings for over 11 years.

Two radials each of 5, 80 way 2 inch Salter Cyclone Hydrocyclone Mushroom Assemblies have been despatched to Peru for desliming tin tailings.

Case Studies

The SCMG3, our large scale Multi-Gravity Separator, was supplied to a client with high tailing volumes who wanted to improve recovery of fine grained chromite.


A client in the power industry has had problems with blinding of filters when they have had peak suspended solids for short periods. Two inch Hydrocyclones are being installed to protect the downstream plant.


One inch and three inch Hydrocyclones have been supplied for the removal of solids carryover associated with sludge and resin retrieval systems.
